How to play
Xiang Yu is a Tank whose standout strength is his survivability. With a combo that chains Skill 1 into the Ultimate and Skill 2, he can lock enemies down with Crowd Control while dealing damage. A defining trait is that the lower his HP, the more damage reduction he gains.
Skill 1 dashes forward, knocking back enemies along the path and knocking up enemies near the end of the dash. Skill 2 deals damage to enemies in range while reducing the damage he takes. His Ultimate charges up and then unleashes a wave with his sword, dealing massive damage that increases the lower his own HP is.
For leveling skills, prioritize the Ultimate first, and when the Ultimate isn't available, level up Skill 1 first.
Skills (level values & ratios)
Passive: Resolute Will:When HP drops below 30%, reduces damage taken by 40% for 6 seconds (once every 90 seconds). Activating "Righteous Fervor" or "No Retreat" grants an Enhanced Basic Attack with a different effect for each (up to max stacks).
Skill 1: Righteous Fervor:Dashes forward, knocking back enemies, and at the end of the dash swings his sword down, knocking up for 0.75 seconds. During the dash and slash, deals 225 (225 + 35% of Bonus HP) Physical Damage and enhances Basic Attacks; swinging 3 times deals 445 (250 + 100% of Bonus HP + 80% of Bonus Physical ATK) Physical Damage (always a critical hit, with base critical damage of 150%). CD (s) 10→8 / Base Damage 225→450
Skill 2: No Retreat:Lets out a roar, reducing the Move Speed of enemies in the area by 15% for 2 seconds, dealing 275 (275 + 90% of Bonus Physical ATK) Magic Damage, and reducing the enemy's ATK by 30% for 3.5 seconds. After activation, Basic Attacks are enhanced and Move Speed increases by 25% (decreasing over 2 seconds). The Enhanced Basic Attack sweeps a wide area in front, restoring 350 (350 + 7% of Bonus Physical ATK) HP (50% effective against non-hero units; the lower his HP, the greater the heal, up to a maximum of 50% additional healing) and dealing 235 (40 + 100% of Bonus Physical ATK) Physical Damage. CD (s) 8→6.5 / Base Damage 275→550 / Move Speed 25%→50% / HP Restore 350→700 / MP Cost 40
Ultimate: Hegemon's Slash:Fights with his back to the wall. While the skill is active, gains Super Armor and the "Unyielding" effect. After charging, unleashes a slash, dealing 900 (900 + 260% of Bonus HP) Physical Damage to enemies along the path, dealing an additional 50% damage to enemies hit by the blade and stunning them for 0.75 seconds. The lower his HP, the greater the damage, dealing up to 50% additional damage to enemies. He restores HP equal to 20% of the damage dealt.
Unyielding: HP cannot drop to 1 or below, and he cannot die. CD (s) 50→40 / Base Damage 900→1800 / MP Cost 75
Xiang Yu — Early / Mid / Late Game
Early game: Strong ganking ability from early on. Whether as a Support or solo, the basics are to coordinate with the Jungler and move around aggressively.
Mid game: Use Skill 1's charge to knock enemies up, and Skill 2 to heal HP while applying Slow and increased damage taken. From level 4 onward, coordinate with allies: use Skill 1 to get behind an enemy and push them out, chain into the Ultimate's Stun, and go for a tower dive.
Late game: The Ultimate deals more damage the lower the enemy's HP and grants resilience (death resistance), so don't cast it early; save it and fire it after charging. In team fights, catch multiple enemies with the Stun to create an opening.
