Plants having seeds or bulbils that germinate while still attached to the parent plant, e.g. mangrove, Allium. Vivipary in plants is a reproductive strategy in which seeds or embryos begin to develop while they are still attached to the parent plant. This strategy provides self-protection and emerged through long-term adaptation and evolution.
