How to use オトモファーム
For beginners: how to use each feature
Look up crops in the directory
The crop directory lets you browse, search, and filter every crop in OTOM-FARM. Use it whenever you want to look up when to plant, how to grow, and what pests to watch — then open the crop's How-to-grow details.
1. Type a crop name into the "Search by crop name" box at the top to narrow the list.
2. Use the "Name" button to the right of the search box to change the sort order.
3. Tap an icon in the "Growing environment" row (open field, greenhouse, planter, hydroponics, tunnel) to show only crops suited to it; the grid icon returns to all.
4. Scroll to find the crop card you want; cards are colored by crop type.
5. Tap a crop card to open its How-to-grow: season, family, sowing, spacing, watering, fertilizer, pests, and harvest tips.
💡 Knowing a crop's type and family makes it easier to plan crop rotation and avoid replant problems.
Choose by growing environment
The environment guides cover the five ways to grow — open field, greenhouse, planter, hydroponics, and tunnel — with their features, tips, materials, and common mistakes. Use it to decide what to grow based on where you can grow it.
1. Pick the environment closest to where you can grow (field, balcony, indoors, etc.).
2. Read that environment's features, tips, materials, and common mistakes.
3. Mark it as read to reflect it in your guide progress.
4. Once you know suitable crops, check their How-to-grow in the crop directory.
💡 For a first try, easy leafy greens in a planter or a mini tomato in the open field give a quick win.
Train your gardening knowledge
This is the hub for memorizing crop names, types, environments, and seasons with spaced-repetition cards — an easy way to build up gardening basics in spare moments.
1. Tap Training in the bottom nav to open this screen.
2. Check your current progress (0%) in the Training Mastery card at the top.
3. Switch between the Crops / Memo tabs to filter to what you want to learn.
4. Tap Crop Training (name, type, and environment from a card) to start.
5. Repeat while watching the progress ring and percentage on each card.
💡 Once names and seasons click, you'll instantly know what to plant now when you see seed packets or a shop.
Log tasks with field records
Field records (Field-D) let you log "what to do, where, today" for each field or planter. Check off tasks like watering, feeding, harvesting, and inspection to build up your daily care record.
1. Tap the green + (Field records) button in the center of the bottom nav.
2. Pick the field you're working today from the cards above (its crop is shown).
3. Check off today's tasks — watering, feeding, harvesting, inspection — as you finish them.
4. Checks are saved on this device, and each field shows its progress (x/4 done).
💡 Check tasks right after doing them to avoid missed or duplicated work. Start with just one field.
Save your favorite crops
"Favorite crops" is where you register the crops you grow or want to grow. Keeping your list here makes it easier to plan what to grow this season.
1. Open the Records tab in the bottom nav and tap Favorite crops to open this page.
2. Type a name into the "Search by crop name" box to quickly narrow down.
3. Use the environment icon row to switch the display by environment (grid icon returns to all).
4. From the crop cards below, choose the crops you grow or want to grow and save them as favorites.
💡 Register just the crops you plan to grow this season to keep your how-to and records tidy.
